LCAA’S FINEST

LIVONIA – It takes a lot these days to impress Livonia boy’s soccer coach Ray Maxwell.

However, Maxwell, who has guided the Bulldogs to 16 Section V titles and 13 LCAA D-I crowns, was certainly impressed Wednesday night watching his senior midfielder Keegan Dennis net a hat trick within the first seven minutes of their win.

Dennis scored all three goals in the first, fifth, and seventh minute as the No. 2 seeded Bulldogs improved to 15-1-1 on the season following Wednesday’s 9-1 victory over No. 5 North Rose Wolcott in Section V Class B first-round action.

Six different players scored goals for the Bulldogs as Dennis led the way with the hat trick.

Colin Ullock added two goals and two assists while Connor Feehan netted a goal and assisted on another.

Charlie Roberts and George Christian also scored goals while JV call-up Gavyn Phillips netted his first varsity goal.

James Spezzano dished out two assists while Jack TeBeau, Austin Francis and Brady O’Keefe all had one helper.

Coach Maxwell handed out his “Man of the Match” to his senior midfielder Dennis.

Ullock leads Livonia with 26 goals and eight assists while Feehan has 17 goals and 13 assists this year.

Austin Francis has scored 15 goals with five assists as the Bulldogs have outscored opponents 93-10 on the season.

Livonia will host No. 7 Le Roy Saturday night.

“We’re playing our best at the moment, our speed of play is fantastic,” coach Maxwell said. “We’re a very well-rounded team. Gearing up for a difficult game on Saturday versus a vastly improving LeRoy team.”

CLASS B

LetSaw 3, Dansville 2

The home-standing eighth-seeded LetSaw squad got the first-round victory over No. 9 Dansville in Class B first-round action Tuesday.

Goals for Dansville came from Thomas Adams, assisted by Brian Geiger in the first half, and Carson Mays with a header assisted by Brian Geiger in the second half.

Dansville keeper Cameron Delaney finished with eight saves between the posts.

“Player of the game was Aryll Gerber and best play of the day goes to Carson Mays,” Dansville coach Steve French said. “With just two seniors on the team, the future looks bright. This team fought until the very end and I couldn’t be prouder.”

Dansville finished 4-11-2.

LetSaw will take on No. 1 Mynderse Saturday in Seneca Falls.
