PAVILION – Fifth-seeded Pavilion/York wasted little time putting the beat down on No. 12 Bloomfield Wednesday night winning by a 12-0 count in Section V Class C1 action.

P/Y scored on 12 of the 19 shots they took while holding the Bombers to just three shots all game.

Kyan Tiede led the way for P/Y with four goals and one assist while Gavin Zinkievich also added the hat trick with three goals of his own.

Also for P/Y, Mason Gilkes scored once and assisted on two others while Ethan Hall and Landen Stoddard added a goal and one assist.

Evan Kingdon and Jake Kloster added goals while Dylan Brooks dished out one helper.

Tiede leads the team in scoring with 26 goals and four assists while Gilkes has nine goals with six assists.

York/Pavilion improved to 11-5-1 on the season and will visit Avon in the C21 quarterfinals Saturday night.

Both teams split during the season with each team winning on their home field.

“Looking forward to Avon, we’ve been preparing to bring a competitive state of mind to the game,” P/Y coach Jake Feltham said. “As they are a very solidly coached team we expect a challenge but if we can continue our standard of play in the postseason we are hoping to come away with the win. Having played them twice in the regular season we aim to come to the game ready with that experience.”
