Larry Pelkey’s mission has made a thousand dreams come true!

From Hornell Partners for Growth,

We are excited to announce we have given over 1,000 bikes to kids in need in the Hornell area in the past 3 years.

Please give Larry a slap on the back when you see him.  He fixes all the bikes and spends substantial amounts of his funds to make this happen.

We thank those who have helped along the way:

  • The community, for the gently used bikes for free or low cost
  • Grants from Elks Club, Moose, and the Association that pay for helmets, repair parts accessories and low cost used bikes
  • Cash donations from the community, Garcia’s Barber Shop and Walmart
  • The CCOC’s guidance, support and the postings on their Facebook page
  • HPG (Hornell Partners for Growth) and Hornell Sun for their supportive publicity
  • The Hornell PD for providing helmets at events

‘* Larry’s Bikes of Hornell inc. is a 501c3 non profit corporation.  Our purchases are sales tax free.  Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
