Larry Pelkey is checking his list, email him before December 13th and put a great bike under the tree this year

A wonderful idea, dedicated to the mission of making sure all kids have a good bike, now has a speical holiday theme! Larry “The Bikeman” Pelkey and his merry crew are often seen at big events in the Hornell and Canisteo area giving away bikes to kids. The idea has grown into a big part of the community and more successful than Larry could have imagined.

So successful that “The Bikeman” has decided to expand into Christmas this year.

“I’ve got some great bikes all ready to go and thought some of these would make great gifts. The Hornell Police Department has been a great partner providing helmets for all the bikes we give away.”

Yes you heard that right, “give away,” as in free. “The Bikeman” has never taken a dime for the bikes he collects, repairs, restores, and brings back into action. Larry, like Santa, believes in the magic of giving to change people’s lives, including his own.

So parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles… this is a great chance to get the growing boy or girl in your life a great bike. Bikes sizes between 12 inch and 20 inch for kids age 4 to 17 are available.

Larry is accepting requests via email until December 13th from folks in the Hornell area. Just tell Larry who you are, where you live, and what kind of bike you have in mind. He’ll get back to you with any questions and get things rolling! Email anytime: larrysbikes@yahoo.com

Bike pickups are planned beginning Saturday Dec 20th through Wednesday Dec 24th.

While Larry has a nice inventory to work with, this special holiday season offer is limited and requests will be considered on a ‘first-come, first-serve’ basis. Don’t delay, send Santa Larry and his band of merry elves an email today !! larrysbikes@yahoo.com
