The Dansville Central School District is closed today after a school bus crash Tuesday night. It happened at the bus garage, causing one bus to flip over. Sheriff Tom Dougherty says a school bus driver crashed into a parked school bus around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Only the bus driver was on board at the time of the crash. No students were on board either bus. The driver is in serious condition. He was taken to Noyes Hospital in Dansville. Investigators say a medical condition may have led to the crash.
The school district had this posted on their Facebook page:
Dansville Schools are closed on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 as we continue our response to a very serious school bus accident at the DCSD bus garage last night. One person, the driver, was on the bus at the time of the accident.
