In announcing the appointment, Mayor Sheehan stated, “Mayor Buckley’s experience and expertise will align perfectly with NYCOM’s commitment to supporting and strengthening our communities and fostering effective governance at the local level. He will be a tremendous asset to NYCOM as we work to advance our statewide agenda.”

“As a trusted resource for cities and villages throughout New York, NYCOM remains dedicated to its mission of empowering local officials to make informed decisions, drive positive change and build thriving communities,” said Mayor Buckley.  “I have seen first-hand how this organization works diligently on our behalf and seeks input from its members about the most pressing issues we face. I am honored to be appointed to this leadership position within NYCOM.”
