BATH, NY — Eric Rose, Commissioner of the Steuben County Department of Public Works, has announced that the bridge located on Hammer Creek Road over Hammer Creek, between County Route 29 and Feenaughty Hill Road in the Town of Canisteo, will be closed to all through traffic beginning June 8, 2026, for approximately eight weeks.

The structure, identified as Bridge No. 07-01-02, will be replaced with a new concrete box culvert as part of Steuben County’s ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts.

There will be no on-site detour available during the closure. Motorists are advised to use Feenaughty Hill Road as the designated detour route and should plan for additional travel time in the area.
